Technical difficulties in the design of Shanghai slope changing and turning conveyor

(1) In the process of formula derivation, the calculation is based on the axis of the conveyor belt and the axis is treated as a flexible line. In fact, the contact between the conveyor belt and the idler roller is surface contact rather than line contact. Conveyor belts are not flexible bodies but have a certain degree of rigidity.

We only studied the relationship between a point on the conveyor belt and a point on the corresponding roller, without considering the mutual influence between the points on the contact surface.

(2) In terms of design methods and technological applications, many design parameters are only qualitative without quantification. There are many possible measures to minimize the curvature radius of the turning conveyor, but not all of them can be used. There should be a quantitative analysis and structural optimization combination between them.

(3) The geometric model of spatial curves is not combined with the mechanical model, which is inconvenient for engineering analysis and research.

(4) In the analysis of spatial forces, there are also problems such as the analysis of forces in plane turns, and spatial force analysis is more complex, considering more factors, and there is a lot of work that has not been done.

(5) Stability analysis of conveyor belt operation without spatial turning of belt conveyor.

(6) So far, the bending operation of belt conveyors has mostly been limited to static analysis, and there has been little research on dynamic analysis, and dynamic partitioning software has not appeared.
