Composition of Chain Conveyor System
The chain conveyor system consists of chains, sprockets, motors, reducers, couplings, etc. The chain conveyor system for long-distance transportation should be equipped with tensioning devices and chain support rails, such as chain conveyor lines.
1. Chain
Conveyor chains come in various structural forms such as sleeve roller chains, bent chain chains, fork chains, welded chains, detachable chains, track chains, and toothed chains. Compared to transmission chains, conveyor chains are longer and heavier in weight. Generally, the pitch of the conveyor chain is designed to be 2 or 3 times or more than that of a regular transmission chain, which can reduce the number of hinges, reduce chain weight, and improve conveying performance.

In a chain conveyor system, materials are generally driven forward by attachments on the chain. The attachments can be formed by expanding the parts on the chain, and the chain conveyor system can also be configured with secondary attachments (such as brackets, hoppers, transport mechanisms, etc.).
2. Chain wheel
The basic parameters, tooth profile and tolerance, tooth groove shape, axial tooth profile, and sprocket tolerance of the sprocket are designed according to national standards. The number of sprocket teeth Z has a significant impact on the performance of the conveyor chain. If Z is too small, it will deteriorate the smoothness of the chain operation and increase impact, vibration, noise, and wear.
